GLS is currently the preferred contractor of emergency lighting testing, maintenance and general electrical services for LJ Hooker Commercial, Ray White Commercial, Honeywell, Raine and Horne and various other clients throughout the region. GLS is also the service and maintenance contractor of emergency lighting for approximately 350 sites in the Territory and Municipal Services portfolio.

Territory and Municipal Services Directorate (TAMS)

GLS has been the service and maintenance contractor of emergency lighting for the 350 sites in the Territory and Municipal Services portfolio since 2007. Sites include health care facilities, schools, ACT Emergency Services and Government Department buildings.

GLS recommended and installed HPM Legrand LED Emergency Light fittings in all TAMS sites. These LED fittings have an increased life expectancy and reduced power consumption. This makes them the most environmentally friendly and economical option and result in:

reduced maintenance costs
reduced running costs
less waste
lower energy use

GLS also recommended, designed and installed computer monitored emergency lighting systems into several large TAMS sites for ease of testing and reduced testing times.

LJ Hooker Commercial – Canberra

GLS is currently the incumbent service and maintenance contractor of emergency lighting and illuminated exit lighting for LJ Hooker including in excess of 60 commercial and unit plan sites. All sites are tested and reported on every 6 months with repairs undertaken as required as per AS 2293.2. GLS is also undertaking Thermal scanning and reporting of these sites.

GLS has just completed a major lighting upgrade in the car park at 71 Northbourne Ave. This involved removing the existing emergency lighting and replacing them with LED chameleon emergency lighting. This will mean a considerable cost saving for the client due to the chameleon’s being an energy saving option.

Ray White Commercial

GLS has a 3 year electrical building maintenance service agreement for the Canberra Business Centre. This contract includes regular inspections of lighting including monitoring the Dali lighting controls and attending to any other electrical issues that may arise. GLS also responds to after hour callouts for electrical issues relating to tenants in the Ray White residential portfolio.

Raine and Horne Commercial

GLS undertakes building maintenance for Raine and Horne Commercial. This includes Fire Services, Emergency and Exit lighting, Thermal Scanning, LED lighting upgrades and electrical fault finding.

Taylor Primary School

GLS were the electrical contractors for the refurbishment of the awarding winning Taylor Primary School. Some of the tasks included in this project:

replacement of consumer mains and main distribution boards
new lighting and power services
automated lighting controls
car park lighting
fire monitoring services
